SX7879 : Bovey valley below Hisley bridge

taken 18 years ago, near to Lustleigh, Devon, England

Bovey valley below Hisley bridge
Bovey valley below Hisley bridge
In the north-west corner of this square, the River Bovey turns sharply north. This photo looks north from the downs near Yarner Wood across this bend. Within the aesthetically-cruel tree cut can be seen the hairpin on the Hisley Bridge-Lustleigh bridleway. To the right, the conifers mark Pullabrook Wood nature reserve.
