SX7879 : Island, River Bovey

taken 14 years ago, near to Lustleigh, Devon, England

Island, River Bovey
Island, River Bovey
The rushing waters of the Bovey are reunited at the downstream tip of an island that extends along the river for about 40 metres, seen from the water's edge in Rudge Wood, through which Lustleigh Footpath 15 passes. Across the river is the very western corner of SX7880 : Meadow beside the Bovey, narrowing as the valley becomes constricted with Pullabrook Wood occupying the steep southern slopes.
