One Hundred Years of History - Gone! by Andy Beecroft
One Hundred Years of History - Gone!

This is the trackbed of the former Market Weighton to Driffield Railway. After approximately 100 years of usage, this is all that remains of the railway.... just a bridge in the distance. The railway was closed in 1965 and 46 subsequent years of farming on the land has totally obliterated the trackbed. What a waste and an insult to those who toiled to build and run this railway.
