Healds Hall Hotel by Gerald England
Healds Hall Hotel

A large early 19C Georgian house of three storeys, with modern extensions to form a hotel and restaurant. It was the home of the Reverend Hammond Roberson who was the model for the Reverend Mathew Helstone in Charlotte Bronte's 'Shirley', and was responsible for the building of several churches in the area.
