River Hull and Croda
River Hull and Croda
Showing the River Hull and part of Croda Polymer Additives' Oak Road site, seen from the western bank of the river. Croda is based in Cowick, East Yorkshire, and has sales offices in over 60 countries around the world. The company is involved in the global supply of naturally based speciality chemicals for the polymer industry. The 2MW wind turbine seen here was installed in 2009 and has reduced the site’s imported electricity demand by 40 per cent. At full output the turbine exceeds the site’s requirements and electricity is exported to the grid.
