Warning notice, The Willows car park
Sainsbury's just went down in my estimation with this bullying notice. For a start, this car park serves Marks and Spencer, the store in the background, as well as Sainsbury's; I hadn't been aware before that you have to park near the store you're patronising, even though it's all one car park. So I suppose if I'm shopping in a leisurely fashion and want to visit Marks, and Comet, I would have to re-park twice more in case I went over my four hour limit, or in case the threatened "checks" reveal that I went to the wrong shop. And what exactly is the implication of that time limit? Why would anyone want to park here all day? Are hundreds of motorists taking advantage of this car park to explore the surrounding suburbs? (We're quite a way from Torquay's tourist sites, such as they are.) I mean, I'd do that but I'm nuts, as this rant probably confirms.
