A fishing hut at Old Melrose
A fishing hut at Old Melrose
This hut is used during the salmon fishing season. The stone-built building higher up would appear to be an earlier bothy for fishermen. Trees and vegetation around the building have been cleared. For a view of the hut from Scott’s View during the timber removal works around the old stone building, see NT5934 : Timber extraction.
