The Powderhall Waste Transfer Station where Edinburgh's waste destined for landfill is compacted and loaded into railway wagons for transport to East Barns near Dunbar, presumably to the large limestone quarry at the cement works NT7077 : Quarry, Dunbar cement works. - see also LinkExternal link In the background is the chimney of the old McDonald Road power station.
