SK0632 :: Loxley Hall, Bramshall

Loxley Hall, Bramshall
Pevsner remarked that "one would like to know about this large house". What we do probably know is that it is an early C19th remodelling of an earlier house. A dignified and substantial front of eleven bays with a Tuscan porch, and the outer ground-floor windows set in blind arches. The attractive patchwork quilt effect is a testament to periodic bouts of restoring the stone. Grade II* listed.
It is now a special school run by Staffordshire County Council.
