taken 17 years ago, near to Newbridge, Dumfries And Galloway, Scotland

Twelve Apostles Stone Circle
Twelve Apostles Stone Circle
In a field to the north of Newbridge and difficult to get all the stones in one photograph, other than a join-up image. With a maximum diameter of 88m, this is the largest circle in Scotland and the seventh biggest in Britain. Until 1837 there were twelve stones out of a probable eighteen, but now only eleven survive.
