Does this train stop at Largs?
As a result of brake failure, The 06:15 from Glasgow on 11th July 1995 didn't and, being a terminus, this resulted in the 3 car electric train jumping the buffers, travelling the length of the concourse and crashing through a shop to the main street beyond.
Fortunately the driver was able to leave his cab to warn the passengers to brace themselves shortly before disaster struck and there were no serious injuries on the train or elsewhere.
