Wood anemones in Bourne Wood, Lincolnshire
Wood anemones (Anemone nemorosa), also known as wind flowers, are among the first of our spring flowers to appear and by the end of March they can be found in profusion around the quiet glades of Bourne Wood away from the more popular tracks, wide swathes of small white delicate flowers nodding gently in the light breeze on warm spring mornings.
