A summer evening in St Mary's Place

To the right is the St Mary's Gate side of T C Hine's Adams Building, a lace factory of 1857. The attic (or lantern or clerestory) finishing rooms with their continuous strips of windows had daylight longest and there the finest work was done. These are west-facing and catch the last of light at ten past eight on a fine late-summer evening.
