Formerly a roller mill. A plaque records that the mill was "re-built by W.R. Mallett AD 1886 on the site of mills worked by the Benedictine monks of the priory at Cowick AD 1325. Alfred Bodley engineer, Brock and Ash builders".
Now in residential use possibly.
