Viewed on June 23rd 2020. This Greggs had been closed since late March 2020 during the nationwide Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic lockdown.
Established as a bakery in 1939 by John Gregg in Newcastle. Greggs opened the first shop in 1951 and is now the largest chain of bakeries in the UK, with over 1400 shops.
