Coventry Chain Company memorial fountain
Coventry Chain Company memorial fountain
Memorial fountain to the employees of the Coventry Chain Company who died during the First World War. It was originally erected on Hearsall Common together with a horse trough but the drimking fountain was re-erected in 1999 in front of the company's former factory off Spon End (see SP3279 : Former Coventry Chain Company Factory). The plaque on it, which was separately found at a car boot sale, reads:

"Erected by employees of the Coventry Chain Co in memory of their 45 comrades who fell in the Great War 1914-1918".
