Overgrown Interior of an Iron-Age Town
The dip between Hollybush Hill (visible in the distance) and Midsummer Hill (out of sight on the right). 2000 years ago this would have been full of rows of small, square or rectangular, four-posted huts. Even on the level ground where hut platforms were not needed it was found that each hut site showed post hole evidence of repeated rebuilding on the same plot - suggesting continuous occupation.
